Short version: we collect very little, we store even less, and we do not sell or share your data.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is privacy-friendly by design: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no personal data collected. It gives us aggregate counts (page views, countries, referrers) with no way to identify individuals. We chose it specifically because it does not involve Google Analytics or similar cookie-based trackers.
Your Cities (localStorage)
The "My Cities" feature stores your saved cities in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. We cannot see it, access it, or delete it. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for whatisthetime.now.
Cloudflare and Your IP Address
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare processes your request headers (including your IP address) as part of their CDN and security infrastructure. This is standard for any Cloudflare-hosted site. We do not log or store IP addresses ourselves.
On the homepage, we use Cloudflare's CF-IPCountry header to detect your country and show your local time automatically. This detection happens at the edge and is not stored or logged by us.
Affiliate Links
This site contains affiliate links to third-party products (currently Proton VPN and Cal.com). When you click an affiliate link, you will be redirected through a tracking domain operated by the affiliate partner. That redirect may set cookies or log your click. We have no control over what those third parties collect. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
What We Do Not Collect

Third-Party Services
The only third-party services running on this site are Cloudflare Web Analytics and the affiliate link redirects described above. We do not embed social media widgets, video players, or ad network scripts that would track you across the web.
