Sector 3 covers the eastern part of Bucharest, Romania’s capital, stretching from the historic center to the outer residential neighborhoods. Like the rest of Romania and the city’s other five sectors, it runs on Eastern European Time: UTC+2 in winter, advancing to UTC+3 during summer daylight saving.

Bucharest is divided into six sectors for administrative purposes, a system introduced during the communist era that has persisted through the post-1989 transition.
