Incheon is South Korea’s third-largest city and the site of Incheon International Airport, consistently rated among the world’s best airports and one of its busiest international hubs. The Incheon landing and the Korean War

Incheon was the site of General Douglas MacArthur’s famous amphibious landing in September 1950, a strategically risky operation that turned the tide of the Korean War. The landing was planned with extreme precision, timed to the tides. MacArthur had less than three hours at high tide to get troops ashore. Tidal time, not the clock, was the governing constraint.
